Homecoming Spirit Competition for Student Groups 2026

Islanders! Get ready to BE SEEN, BE LOUD, and BE SPIRITED!!

Register your student organization(s) now to see if you have what it takes to be the most spirited group on campus

and win nearly $1000 for your organization!

Team requirement: Minimum 10 participants. Orgs with membership less than 10 may pair up to reach a minimum of 10 (2 orgs per team max - prizes will be split).
Registration deadline: Thursday, 02/19 @ 5:00 PM

How points are earned:

(1) BE SEEN:
Points based on the percentage of registered members who attend eligible events:

Wednesday, 2/25, 7:00 P.M. (Dugan Center Gym)
Women's Basketball v. East Texas A&M
Thursday, 2/26, 7 P.M. (Hilliard Center)
Lighting of the "I"
Friday, 2/27 at 6:00 PM (East Lawn)
*Check-in will cut off at 7 p.m.

(2) BE LOUD:

Use your org’s Instagram page (not a personal account) to post one photo/video/original graphic per day matching the daily theme.

No story posts. Judges score spirit + originality. Themes and instructions shared in advance.

Organizations will receive instructions and themes will be posted in advance!

(3) BE SPIRITED:

Decorating the "I" & Spirit Chalking Competition
Decorate a wooden “I” and compete in a 3x3 chalk space design.

(+) BONUS CATEGORY - Homecoming Court:

Does your organization have a member who embodies the TAMU-CC spirit and is involved in both the campus and Corpus Christi community? The candidate must abide by the deadlines mentioned on the HoCo Court application!
